About Chicago Video Memoirs

My father Leon had been sick with diabetes and heart disease since he was in his mid 40s. When he turned 60, I decided that I should videotape his life story so that my children would have a video biography of their 'Poppa' to look back on when they grew older and to show their children when the time came. One year later, Poppa died of a heart attack and my family thanked G-d that we had recorded his story on videotape. Although my father was a quiet man, he understood the gravity of what he was doing and he talked and talked at length on the video telling his story and the story of his parents who had survived the Holocaust. My family cherishes this video and it always brings a smile to our faces when we watch it. Chicago Video Memoirs was created to help other families document the stories of their loved ones.
